Provide the option to use decennial census data, especially 2010 Census data.

I would add that being able to see/download previous ACS data for a particular geography would be incredibly useful. This site is IMMENSELY more user-friendly than data.census.gov or any other website I've come across (thank you for your hard work!!), but not when I need to find historical ACS data. Maybe a dropdown next to the "download data" link where you could select your desired year/survey would is feasible?

For what it's worth, a precursor to Census Reporter makes 2010 (and 2000) Decennial Census data easier to use for limited geographies -- see http://census.ire.org
We would need to secure new funding to add Decennial Census data.

I would love to see historical data also. I tried to get some comparison data form usgov census site and now this site and neither has 2000 2010 in table form. it would be nice if we could have decennial and even yearly estimate data to work from .
one example i was trying to track was the difference in population by areas/districts from 2000 to 2020 yearly along with all metric as one example usage

2010 Census data is necessary for federal grant eligibility for rural communities, for example the USDA RCDI application requires use of a specific 2010 data set.
Also, the areas available are way too large to be meaningful. Rural communities are invisible at the current data level, for example. If you filter a specific address, you get results from a different state, far away, along with an area, like a census track or block group that is hundreds of square miles larger than the community you are searching for. It seems like the data blocks available are only relevant for heavily populated urban areas.

I'd add on to this and say it would be super useful to download census 2010 (or 2020!) slices for a defined area using CR's interface

This is a reasonable idea, although some more information about why its useful is welcome. Are you looking for block-level data? or just for the specific decennial figures for certain cases?
Would you want it just in table form? Or would you somehow want to see the profile pages also integrate decennial data?
