Provide drag and drop graphics into MS Office Products (Maybe Adobe also) that will also automatically provide source info.
Be able to query census data and then drag and drop into MS Office or Adobe publishing software. In addition create an additional line that would provide source info automatically (some acceptable format).

Increase the number of search results in the "selected geographies" sidebar.
When I try to type in the town "Minnesota Lake, MN" (exact phrasing) in the search bar in the "selected geographies" sidebar, it comes up with only a limited number of results. (NOT in the results display, in the actual "add a geography" search bar, for clarification)
In this case, it only lists: Prior Lake, White Bear Lake, Forest Lake, Ham Lake, Big Lake, Lake Elmo, Spring Lake Park, Lake City, Rice Lake, and Moose Lak (10 items).

Is data on car-free households available?
http://www.bikesatwork.com/carfree/carfree-census-database.html suggests that the 2000 census included data on car-free households (also, worth reaching out to them to help plug their searches into Census Reporter!)
I'd love to find that data here but all I see is "means of transportation to work"

The NY Congressional Maps are severely outdated (from 2018) the maps have changed
Please correct the NY congressional maps. New maps are coming out end of the month. The maps you have are about 5 versions too old.

Identify similar cities for geographic profiles
I would like to be able to easily see entities that have similar characteristics to the one I search for. Similarity could be restricted to identical entity types (places, metro areas, districts)
For example, I search for Tucson, AZ (place) https://censusreporter.org/profiles/16000US0477000-tucson-az/
I would like to see a list of similar Places could be presented for the major categories/buckets displayed:
Population
Economic
Housing

Use cartographic boundary shapefiles (to avoid Great Lakes states misshapen look)
The Great Lakes states like Michigan and Wisconsin look funky because the shapefile includes the lakes themselves. The Census Bureau released the Cartographic Boundary Shapefiles that are clipped to the land area, which helps eliminate this issue.

Make searching for places better
Census Reporter is about to start work on strategies to help you find profile pages better.
We'd love your "stories" about ways it hasn't worked so well in the past, or other suggestions.
Please be as specific as possible.
Thanks!

Change data download from horizontal to vertical
When I download demographic data (age/gender) into Excel or CSV, it loads horizontally. I then have to select all and transpose in order to work with it effectively. Also, I found when downloading to Excel, not all data are downloaded. I suggest eliminating the Excel option if this cannot be fixed. You can always open a CSV file using Excel.

Provide a view of adults 18+ for all demographics
We always look at population 18 years of age or older. Many of the tables that have information we need (example Income) start at age 25. Others, like some of the educational attainment tables have different rolled up categories for 18 to 24 than for 25+. It would be helpful to have the same level granularity in both groups and to have a section that subtotals the 18+ population.

Let user save their search criteria in their accounts for quick future reference
Instead of having to re-type in the name of multiple towns every time a user revisits the site, allow users to save certain search criteria would save a lot of time. For example, if someone is always comparing data between America's 10 largest cities, those cities would only have to be typed in once and then saves in their search criteria so the next time they want to compare data between said cities, they would just need to search for a new set of data but the cities would already be there.

Update congressional district data for the states that redrew their lines in 2024.
It looks like many of the congressional district lines were updated to reflect their 2022 boundaries. However, five states — Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, New York and North Carolina — had their lines redrawn for the 2024 cycle. With the inauguration of the 119th Congress last week, those maps are now out of date. It would be great if all the congressional district data aligned with the current U.S. Congress.

Include homeless populations.
In california it says we have 13+ million households. And that we have 14+ million housing units. That leaves us with over a million vacant units. Are the people who live in hotels, motels cars and rvs included. And are hotels motels and inn counted as part of the housing units? Because they should not be. Unless they are extended stays because they have no other place to rent. Not long term business trips. But used as actually housing. If there are over a million vacant units and we don't have that many households to fill them then why are…
